A new start..

Hi there lovelies.. Hope you are having a great week so far.. I caught a bug, but besides that I'm doing very well myself. I try not to think about it, so that I can keep up with all the things I have to do.
I started this blog back in February just to have a place to share my new hobby, making cards, with the lovely people who came from the different challenges I used to play in. At that time I had heard about the blogging world, but was very sceptical about it because I didn't know if it was a good idea to share my things with people I didn't know. But it didn't take very long for me to realize that those people I didn't know where the most lovely and sweetest persons I've ever met. The fact that someone you don't know hops over to your place ( blog ) and leaves the sweetest word about you or your project just leaves you with the most heartwarming feeling. The more people came to my blog, the better I felt about what I was doing and the more exciting it got to have a blog. To make this story short, last month I got the most visitors and my cards also started to get noticed more and more. I made top 5 at the Get sketchy Challenge, 2 sketches 4 you challenge and I also got featured on the Cards blog challenge. These may be not the biggest accomplishments for most of you who have more years making cards or blogging, but for me its HUGE..! Therefore I decided to have a more determined purpose for my blog and also to make it a more friendly place for me and for you. I'm moving the blog to Typepad, which I think makes it easier for me to express myself, interact with my readers, and they have an excellent support service to help you whenever you needed and they respond to you very fast to ;) I'm gonna try to finish my renewed blog for the beginnig of next week, but I will announced that here when it's all done.
This post is called a new start not only for the moving of this blog, but also because I'm doing some changes in my life to. The past Sunday I had the most wonderful encounter in which I got renewed by my Savior. God has always been the most important force in my life since I was a little girl, but due to growing up, moving to Holland and numerous other things in my life, I took our relationship for granted and lost a huge part of my faith in him. Till last Sunday, when he grabbed me in his arms again and told me that everything was going to be alright. Last Sunday was the first time in a long time that I could say the words '' live is wonderful '' again. I never want to let that feeling go away again, God is good, he is wonderful to me and to you. No matter your believe, no matter what you think gives you strenght, I just hope you always believe ;)

I have a very busy week this week but I hope I can make something to share with you on the way.
Ooh and you know I'm not bragging but, I'm so happy my warmest wishes card made the top 5 at the 2 sketches 4 you challnege and also that my mini thanksgiving place cards were featured on the Card blog challenge. Super ha ?

Thank you so much for ( reading this long post if you did ) stopping by..
I'm leaving you with some happy images, hope you like them...

Warmest Wishes..

I said the word ''love'' allot in my previous post ( posts), but I just can't help it. I just have to express myself and the word ''love'' seem to be perfect for the things I love, LOL. I'm so happy I got a chance to play along in this weeks 2 sketches 4 you Challenge :) They recently announced their gorgeous new Design team Members and they debuted this week; super talented girls. This weeks sketch, Kazan's # 39, is perfect for what I had in mind for these Making Memories glitter leaves. Here is my take on it:

Webster Pages makes gorgeous papers I just can't get enough of. The papers have such a warm feeling already, and all you have to do is make your project with love and something beautiful is created. I just love Christmas and it makes me so happy to make Christmas cards with help of such great products.

Hope you liked what I had to share today and don't forget to play along if you haven't already ; )

Red & Green..

Happy Saturday to you..!! I'm enjoying my sunny Saturday ( doesn't mean it ain't cold; 12 degrees celsius, 53 F) and doing some cooking but I interrupted that to show you my 2 sketches 4 you card for this week. I'm kinda late since the deadline is today, but I was kind of busy this week, didn't have allot of time to craft. I also wanted to thank all the lovely people who stopped by my blog on my birthday to wish me a happy one :). With that said, here is my take on Kazan's sketch #37:

This card is all Making Memories Mistletoe collection, (beautiful papers ha ?) with exception of the Bazzil white cardstock, ribbon and stamp from Hero Arts.

I also made a Christmas wreath in the middle and I have a little Photo tutorial/instructions for ya:

Well, Picnick didn't want to work with me today so that's why the collages look so weird, but I hope you get the idea :)

Have a great rest of the weekend lovelies. I'm gonna try and make some cards after I finish cooking ( Russian Stroganof).

Love,

Giselle

It's J's B-day..!!!

Well not today, but the 24th of September ! Jordan is my Boyfriends little brother who's gonna be 15 in 15 days. Jordan is a very smart and cute little guy and I wish him all the best. Since we are not there to do the hugs and kisses I made this cute card with Laura's sketch 34 ! I haven't been able to play along with the 2 Sketches 4 You Challenges for some weeks, because of me adjusting again with my life in Holland, but I'm back baby ! This sketch is ideal because it fitted perfectly with the ideas I had in mind for the card. It was a bit of a challenge making a card for a boy, since I always do pink and sweet stuff. But with a little help from the beautiful Cosmo Cricket paper my card turned out cute and blue. Supplies: Creative Cafe white card and envelope, Cosmo Cricket: current and Monday patterned paper. Green rhinestone gem by Kaisercraft, Tim Holtz distress ink; tea dye, ColorBox chalk ink; burnt Sienna, Ranger Glossy Accents, Making memories Slice Machine and ribbon.
There is so much do to since I came back that I don't want to start. Hopefully I will feel better with your sweet comments. I'm so grateful I have this blog. It makes me feel better every time I think that I'm sharing something with the world :)
Hope you have a fantastic week ( it's going by fast), FresaBonita

2 Sketches 4 You Laura's Sketch #31...

Sometimes I feel like taking over the world with the cards I make. I feel like making cards is the best thing a person can do ever, LOL. I know, crazy thoughts. I feel like this because when I'm creating stuff I almost forget who I'm and where I'm for those moments and I feel happy. I'ts not that I don't feel happy in my life, but happiness is determined most of the times by the way you are feeling at a particular moment. happiness gets contaminated by life factors. Don't know if you are understanding me at this point but I'm just clearing mental space, don't mind me. The thing is that while I'm creating I might me the most happy, the most important. and I love it..!!! I love it just as I love love Laura's sketch for this week. I know that I always say that I love the 2 Sketches 4 You sketches, but I just have to give credit because they are always fantastic. These ladies are just so talented that it's an honor to create stuff with there sketches, such an inspiration. Supplies: Corednations white cardstock, Sassafras Gold O' Pot patterned paper, word ''enjoy'' cut with my wonderful Slice machine, white vintage flower from hobby store, big rhinestone from stash, yellow and orange sequins, small adhesive rhinestones, scrappers floss off white, orange thread and red chalk ink. My sister gave me a good idea for making some cute stuff, so I'm off to that. There are allot of stuff I make that I don't post, but I'll make time and post them soon. I really love being home on vacation and doing what I love the most. Sadly enough I have less than a month of vacation. I will be returning soon to Holland :( But anyways. Thank you some much for stopping by ( maybe reading my Tuesday rambling) and taking a peek. I feel happy :) Love, FresaBonita
